Information

The Southern Alberta Primary Care Research Network (SAPCReN) is a multidisciplinary collaboration of primary care health providers and researchers working to rigorously address research questions derived from clinical practice. SAPCReN supports research relevant to the primary care setting, with a wide range of studies relating to topics such as disease prevention and health promotion, screening and early diagnosis, surveillance, and management of various health conditions. SAPCReN has been operating in Southern Alberta since 2007 and has grown to include more than 50 members. Investigators come from primary care clinics in urban and rural areas including Calgary, Airdrie, Sundre, Taber, Pincher Creek, and Claresholm. The network research assistants are located in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Calgary and the administrative centre is located in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Alberta.
