The Manitoba Primary Care Research Network (MaPCReN) is a network of family physicians who are interested in improving primary care practice through collaborative practice based research. Dr. Alex Singer is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Manitoba.
He is an active clinician/teacher at the Family Medical Centre and has privileges in Obstetrics and Inpatient Family Medicine at St. Boniface General Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Dr. Singer was the co-chair of the department of Family Medicine’s EMR implementation committee and a current member of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority’s EMR Clinical Advisory Group. He is a Manitoba eHealth Peer Supporter, member of the PIN2 (Physician Integrated Network) project advisory team and consulting member on the Manitoba Health Primary Care Working Group.
Current research and policy interests include EMR Data Quality, Optimization of EMR use and future interoperability of digital health records in Manitoba.
